Not impressed.
Okay to skip this stop. I agree with the 2 other negative reviews regarding reservations and persons being overserved at the bar. My party's dining experience was not enjoyable so it really took away from the food.
I have never written a review before but felt so strongly in opposition to this restaurant, I felt I had to say something. I will not return and will tell anyone that visits us (I have family in several states that visit often) that we are avoiding this place.
anyone can take a reservation. My wife and I made reservations for 6:30 on New Years Eve 2009. We arrived on time but were told our wait was 30-40 minutes. We were told they have no control over when people leave there tables. Bottom line was they did not have a reservation list. If they did, we would have sat at 6:30. What they had was a wait list. We should have realized Theos is not a "real" restaurant you may find in a big city but a podunk restaurant found in the suburbs. Anyone can take a reservation, but they could not "hold" the reservation. And that's the most important part.
Theo's - Short on name, long on excellence. service was fine, drinks were good and generous, the dinners were splendid. No one in the group felt the need to grumble about anything; everyone was pleased with the outing. Restaurant acoustics were good - we were having fun with lots of laughs, but the sound was contained quite well.
Avoid all nights. Customers are over served at the bar. Good training for Anger Management patients. Food portions have are small and are OVERPRICED..
Superb. Theo's is a great restraunt for seafood - especially in August when they hold their Crab Fest. Be sure to try the Blackened Sea Scallop dish, it is a pure delight.
