I relied highly on Dr. Dave Pike as my vet. for my dogs for years; or, Dr. Dave, as he was so foundly referred to. Now, he has brought on assistants, as his clinic has expanded by word of mouth of Dr. Dave. Now, one is lucky if they ever see him. You are told you will see him and then you are "pushed off" on some other tech. The wait is long and then you are rushed through. Write down all your questions because they are usually backing out the door while you are still speaking. Do not even bother to voice your concerns or opinions to the Office Manager, Laurie. She has a way of not hearing you and only responding in her "canned speeches." A very disinterested condescending attitude. Not the type of personality one hopes to hear on the other end of the phone line when calling about your beloved furry "child." No compassion....just cold and uncaring. Unamicable representative for a clinic one takes their precious little furry family members. One used to be able to speak with Dr. Dave on the phone and see if an office visit is warranted, but now he's insulated from pesky annoyance and imposition of having to speak to customers about their beloved pets WITHOUT getting money for it first.....no matter how long your records go back! The payment counter is very fast though! I moved here from out of state, and my previous vet used to clip the pets nails while we chatted and took the time to listen to my concerns as a courtesy. The Dover clinic will charge $15.00 per pet if you ask them to clip nails. They have a charge for everything. I has just become all about the money for them. I guess this is the new "assembly line" service. If you do not mind that for your pet, then they are your kind of service provider! If you want personal service, look further!

Although there are some great Dr.'s here, the vet technicians are not even certified or have had any schooling. During surgery, the doctor can be seen smoking a cigarette or drinking a beer while his dog roams around eating "parts" from surgery off the floor. This doctor is also often heard calling his emlpoyees "peons, idiots" and other names and words not to be used on this site. Don't be fooled by the smooth running outer appearance because from the inside, it's a pet owners worst nightmare!
Pros: last minute appointments
Cons: inapropriate practices
