This BBQ shack-type establishment serves fabulous BBQ and other specialties to go or to eat at picnic tables nearby. Porky's mostly does catering, so be sure and check their web site to see what they're offering when you plan on stopping by. The pulled pork is moist and virtually fat-free, and served on fluffy fresh rolls. They have a few sauces to slather on the sandwich. the "Porky's" sauce is a great choice...very tangy and flavorful. Porky's also serves a great grilled chicken sandwich cooked perfectly...not at all dry, and with delicious seasonings on the outside. Be sure to try their BBQ beans too, a few different types of beans (even yellow!) in a tangy, almost fruity sauce.

We were greeted by two very friendly ladies who welcomed us warmly. Picnic tables are in the back. Pulled Pork Sandwich: Comes plain, and you add one of two BBQ sauces. Leanest BBQ I have ever tasted (good for dieters!). The meat was good, and when the sauce was added, it was excellent. The rolls were unusually fresh. Ribs: The were pretty good. Ribs get a little fatty for me, so I am not the best judge. Baked Beans: Had a few types of beans in it. They were unusual, but excellent. Fruit: Very fresh. Chicken Sandwich: A huge piece of chicken cooked perfectly. This was my favorite of the day. It did not even need BBQ sauce. I don't think I have tasted a better piece of chicken.
Pros: Food, Service
Cons: Not fancy
